Your World War II stories

This week marks the 70th anniversary of the outbreak of World War II, when German forces invaded Poland, sparking the declaration of the greatest conflict in history.

 

Across Europe, events are being held to commemorate the start of the hostilities, which left millions dead and displaced and irrevocably shaped the world we now live in.

 

CNN wants to hear from people whose lives were affected by these historic events. We’re particularly interested in anyone who saw service, either in combat or on the home front, and who has a story to tell. If you have images or video to accompany your recollections, then please get in touch.
