Assignment: Lufthansa strike suspended
iREPORTERS SIGNED UP
Created February 18, 2010 by
Pilots at Lufthansa, one of Europe's largest airlines, held a strike in a row over job security and pay. Hundreds of flights were canceled as a result.
The four-day action, scheduled to begin on February 22, was set to cause disruption for tens of thousands of Lufthansa passengers around the world. Now, the strike is under a suspension with an expiration date of March 8.
We want to hear from you if you've been affected due to the strike. Did you face a flight cancellation? Have you been able to change your ticket at short notice? Do you have any advice for other travelers?
Pilots argue striking is necessary to protect jobs in Germany. Do you agree that strike action is the best way for the pilots to highlight their cause?
