Remnants of Alex

Alex left at least one person dead and thousands more in shelters as its heavy rains pelted northeastern Mexico Wednesday evening. In southern Texas, flooding forced about 1,000 people into shelters. Alex, a category 2 hurricane at its peak, was downgraded to a remnant low storm Friday.
