Radio talk-show host Dr. Laura Schlessinger announced Tuesday she will not renew her contract that is up at the end of the year, telling CNN's "Larry King Live" she wants to "regain my First Amendment rights."
Schlessinger has been under fire ever since she used the N-word 11 times during an on-air conversation last week with an African-American caller. The conversation evolved into a discussion on whether it's appropriate to use the word ever, with Schlessinger arguing it's used on HBO and by black comedians.
We’d like to have an open and civil conversation about the use of the N-word and other disparaging words. Is it ever appropriate to use to use racial slurs, anti-homosexual terms and other bad words? If it is, tell us the situation. Has the Web has changed the situation of when and where it’s OK to use these words?
Whether your response is written or you’re comfortable getting on camera and sharing your views, CNN would like to hear what you think. Please keep the conversation civil and respectful.
