Libyans are celebrating following the death of former leader Moammar Gadhafi and the end of months of heavy fighting across the country. The National Transitional Council is beginning the difficult process of rebuilding the war-torn county and building a new form of government after more than 40 years of dictatorship.
Gadhafi is the latest in a string of dictators to be ousted from power by the protests that have swept the Arab world since late January. Uprisings are also continuing in Syria, Yemen and Bahrain.
