Assignment: Your favorite yearbook messages
iREPORTERS SIGNED UP
Created June 7, 2011 by
The handwritten messages plastered across the pages of yearbooks -- often filled with lengthy passages and funny drawings -- preserve lifelong memories of school days past.
But budgetary crunches have forced some schools to choose between hiring teachers and buying yearbooks, threatening this tradition. Other schools are turning to electronic yearbooks that can be printed or include digital signatures.
We want to know if you've got any messages you hold especially dear, and how you feel about yearbooks. Do you think students will still sign them in the future?
Update: This assignment is now closed. We put together a photo gallery on CNN.com featuring the best of the bunch. Thank you for your submissions!
