Some of the best adventures are about trying to find your way in unfamiliar, exotic locales. You might find such a place in Hong Kong, the former British colony that is now an urban metropolis.
CNN's Destination Adventure is taking a look at what it's like to immerse yourself in this huge city. Cantonese for "fragrant harbor," Hong Kong is one of two Special Administrative Regions of the People's Republic of China, and as such, affords rights and freedoms that can't be found in mainland China.
Visiting Hong Kong means experiencing the sights and sounds of this compact city: trying new foods, photographing skyscrapers from observation decks and bargain-hunting in markets. At night, travelers can gaze up at the Symphony of Lights, which bathes the glittering Hong Kong skyline in a multicolored light show.
Just getting around is a big part of the adventure, and visitors have a wide selection of ferries, trams and other transportation modes from which to choose. Museums and large themed attractions including Ocean Park and Hong Kong Disneyland are also popular choices.
Have you ever been to Hong Kong? Share your photos and videos of this gorgeous Asian jewel, and tell us about the food you ate! If possible, share any audio you've recorded of the hustle and bustle of urban life. Take us along as you describe your journey.
