South Africa: Down on the cape

This country on Africa's southernmost tip is chock full of all sorts of adventure options, from spectacular national parks to beaches.

Traverse the scenic Garden Route, or head for the south coast. Animals and marine life are abundant in South Africa. Visitors should make time for viewing game, birdwatching and safaris.

Hiking trails abound, and there are plenty of remarkable botanical gardens that are sure to draw any tourist's wandering eyes.

When that's all done, head for Cape Town, Johannesburg, Durban and other cities and villages.

Have you ever traveled to South Africa? Did you see any wildlife? Share your photos and videos, as well as any travel strategies you developed. You could be part of CNN's Destination Adventure.
