Boot camp: Interviewing

By now, you have nailed down what your story is about and who your sources are. This means the next step is to go out and start interviewing!

Some interviews can be super short and some can last for hours. We want a sneak peek into one of your interviews. Don’t spoil your story by posting you entire interview to iReport!

Please submit a list of 10 questions you plan on asking one of your sources, leaving out the usual questions like “what’s your name,” Also post a three-minute video or audio clip from your interview.

Remember, next week the visual aspect of your story is due, so take a camera with you if you think you’ll need photos from your interview.

Interviews are due no later than Monday, August 29, at noon E.T.

For more tips on interviewing check out last year’s boot camp interview tips video and the iReport Boot Camp page.
