Each day we spend more and more time sharing and experiencing life through social media. Hardly a moment – whether significant, like the Japanese tsunami, or run-of-the-mill, like a night out with our friends – goes by without seeing it documented in photos or videos and posted online.
In honor of Social Media Week, a global event that taking place September 19-23 in 12 cities across the globe, we’d like to hear from you about the way social media affects your life, your job and your community, from news and entertainment to family and relationships.
Grab a camera and interview friends or family members. Get creative and share stories of major events through social media, or tell us how social media shapes their lives and worldviews. How is it a part of everyday life? How is it changing their political actions, entertainment choices or news sources?
Your stories could be featured on CNN.com. The deadline for submissions is Saturday, September 24.
