It's been one year since Occupy Wall Street began, and organizers plan to mark the anniversary with events and demonstrations. Organizers are marking Monday's anniversary, dubbed "S17" for September 17, with scores of events and demonstrations.
The Occupy movement began on September 17, 2011, when hundreds of people descended on the streets of New York City's financial district. The movement aimed to raise awareness about the role financial institutions played in the continued economic downturn affecting the world markets, and the alleged lack of accountability on the part of the banks and financial institutions responsible for the crash.
Looking back, what do you think was the point of the movement? Share your video commentary (30 seconds or less, please) and discuss what you think the movement achieved. Or, if you are attending or covering any of the anniversary Occupy protests? Send us your photos and video.
