iREPORTERS SIGNED UP

The world's population keeps on growing. The United Nations estimates we will reach 7 billion people on earth by around October 31, 2011.
The enormous number itself is difficult to understand or comprehend, let alone the implications for our global society. Some artists, including Chris Jordan, have attempted to represent large numbers like this on a more human scale, and we've been inspired by their efforts.
Can you answer the question, "How much is 7 billion?" Get creative, and make a video describing how big this number is. Definitely show and tell.
Explain this number any way you know how, whether through some kind of scale or another kind of explanation. For example, if you take a million steps each year, you'd have to live to be 7,000 years old to take 7 billion steps. So, you could put yourself on camera taking a few steps and describing the statistic.
We're looking for video submissions, and props and visual demonstrations are strongly encouraged. Keep your video concise and tight, with a length around 60 seconds or less. The deadline has been extended to 10 a.m. ET on Thursday, October 27.
UPDATE: Thanks for sharing your creative stories. We featured them in this blog post! This assignment is now closed.
