Gustav made landfall Monday morning near Cocodrie, Louisiana as a hurricane. The powerful storm is lashing the Gulf Coast, three years after Hurricane Katrina devastated the region. Most of the 2 million people in coastal Louisiana and the New Orleans area had cleared out ahead of Gustav on Sunday night.
