iREPORTERS SIGNED UP

Seems like everyone’s joined Pinterest lately. For the uninitiated, it’s a highly visual site that lets you curate content you love from around the web and share it with your friends. Pinterest has an especially large DIY community, and the site is filled with cool projects like homemade crafts, recipes and photo challenges.
Plenty of users "pin" the projects they love – but we’re curious how many are recreated in real life. So, along with our friends at Mashable, we’re asking you to complete the circle. Here’s what to do:
1. Pin a craft, recipe or project you love.
2. Follow the directions and reproduce it in real life, snapping photos along the way. Be sure to take a photo of the finished product!
3. Upload the photos of your project, along with a screengrab of the original "pin," to iReport. In the text, tell us how your product turned out compared to the original and how the process went. Was it easier or harder than you thought? Will you use Pinterest for real-life inspiration again?
UPDATE: This assignment is now closed. Thanks for your submissions! You can see some of the best on CNN.com.
