Think back to Election 2008: A recession had hit the U.S. and voters reported that the economy was their top concern.
Now, four years later, it's election season again. The economy is once more a top issue for many Americans, and Republicans have resurrected Ronald Reagan’s 1980 campaign question: Are you better off?
The U.S. economy added 96,000 jobs in August, down from 141,000 jobs in July, the Department of Labor said Friday. Meanwhile, the national unemployment rate fell from 8.3% to 8.1%.
We’d like to know: How have you been affected by the economy? Are you better off than four years ago?
On video, explain how you’re faring in the economy and how it will impact your vote in November. The best responses could be part of CNN’s election coverage.
