Is pizza in Japan really so strange?

Visitors to Japan lament the presence of corn, mayonnaise and even seaweed atop many a Japanese pizza.

But we’ve seen some truly excellent locally made pies in 2012 that merit reassessment of Japan's pizza offerings.

Great slices like those aside, what do you think of the wild world of pizzas in Japan? Are you down with squid ink, right behind mini octopi or do you stand up only for salami and sausage?

Where’s your favorite pizza in Japan from? What’s the best (or oddest) Japanese pizza topping you’ve tried? Tell us about it in words and pictures.

The best submissions will be featured on CNNGo, so get slicing.
