It was a marriage proposal they thought no one else saw. But thanks to a bystander and the Internet, one Austin, Texas couple's big moment is now being shared all over the world.
These days, it seems like another public marriage proposal goes viral every week. In Portland, Oregon, Isaac Lamb raised the bar for engagements when he staged the world's first "Live Lip-Dub Proposal".
And then there was the elaborately orchestrated movie trailer proposal.
It got us to wondering about public proposals, and the stories behind them. Does the digital age mean proposals have to be elaborate and perfect or they don't count? Is the public proposal insurance that she'll say yes?
If your significant other proposed on the Jumbotron, movie screen or otherwise public fashion, upload your original images and tell us: Did you love (or secretly hate) being proposed to in front of a crowd?
This assignment is now closed. Thank you for sharing your proposal stories and photos with us! We featured some of your iReports in this CNN.com photo gallery.
