LeVar Burton, star of the epic mini-series “Roots,” the beloved children’s program “Reading Rainbow,” and of course, “Star Trek: The Next Generation,” will be sitting down soon to talk with CNN.


Burton recently launched the “Reading Rainbow” app and is celebrating 25 years of his classic “Star Trek” role, as well as 35 years since the premiere of “Roots.” He is currently acting on TNT’s “Perception” and the animated series “Transformers: Rescue Bots,” and recently had memorable cameos on “The Big Bang Theory” and “Community.”
